Interpretation

Oxford Translation provides the full range of consecutive, simultaneous and conference interpreting. We are committed to surmounting language barriers caused by the spoken word. Our expert interpreters provide a rapid and accurate service that eases discussions between people who use different languages. You will find them invaluable for events such as multi-national conferences.

Our interpreters are well versed in the fields of law, local market, industry, NGO, finance, government, information technology, manufacturing, medicine/pharmacy and telecommunications, their quality and our professionalism serving as the guarantee for accuracy, timeliness and credibility of our work. They are selected on the grounds of their education, experience and practical knowledge. In addition to that, they are highly sensitive to the nuances of different languages, thereby capable of identifying and accurately localising the cultural distinctions. Furthermore, their distinct feature is the ability to apply diplomatic skills, acquired throughout the years of interpreting for international organisations in the turbulent Balkans region.

The prospect of your project depends upon several factors, namely, good organizational plan as to the assignment of the interpreters, provision of all required materials for them, and availability of all sources relevant for the given subject. These steps have been determined in order to enable our clients to smoothly reach their aim. Similarly to the document translation services, the first step in your interpretation project falls within the competences of the Task Manager who will ascertain your needs and demands and evaluate the subject. After identifying the type of interpretation accommodating your specific needs, our Task Manager will select an interpreter or a team of interpreters most appropriate for the specific project. The number of engaged interpreters shall depend upon your specific needs, however, please note that at least two interpreters must be hired for the conference interpreting. Our conference interpreters work in pairs, they are professional and extremely well versed to meet the requirements of your specific task.

In addition to their linguistic experience and skills, our Task Managers are trained in human management and client services which maximises the accuracy and timeliness of the work performance. He/she will monitor the project to its completion, ensuring the timetable and quality standards set with the client. Before the scheduled engagement, you will be asked to provide the agency with all available materials because we strongly believe in thorough preparation to be one of the keys for successful interpretation. Also, our team will prepare a glossary of technical terminology, abbreviations and acronyms in the inception phase of the project and it will be sent to the client for reviewing and approval. Once approved, all interpreters are required to use the same linguistic solutions, thereby harmonising their performance through the consistent use of terminology.

Another vital element of our success is the confidentiality all our interpreters are committed to. By virtue of our contract with all the staff, the disclosure of any information pertaining to the engagement with our clients would entail legal consequences.
