They are well versed in the fields of law, local market, industry, NGO, finance, government, information technology, manufacturing, medicine/pharmacy and telecommunications, their quality and our professionalism serving as the guarantee for accuracy, timeliness and credibility of our work.

It is of a vital importance to have the RIGHT TRANSLATOR for our clients’ translation project. Our business policy is to identify the specific requirements for your translation project, and then to assign the team of translators, technical reviewers and editors. The prospect of your project depends upon several factors, namely, good organizational plan as to the assignment of the professionals, provision of all required materials for the professionals, availability of all resources relevant for the given subject, regular follow-up and finally, reviewing. These steps have been determined in order to enable our clients to smoothly reach their aim.

We retain our excellent reputation for quality by taking these 10 basic steps on EVERY assignment. When working under "impossible" deadlines, Oxford Translation will always work around the clock rather than disregard any of the following 10 steps.

  1. Listening to and understanding the needs of the client.
  2. Careful evaluation of the subject matter and selection of the translator most experienced in your field
  3. Compiling of a glossary of terms and acronyms specific to the client.
  4. Translating by an expert translator, carefully selected from a global network of translators for his/her expertise in the subject matter and his/her fluency in the target language
  5. Thorough editing by native language or technical experts
  6. Formatting following the client’s instructions
  7. Proofreading
  8. Checking all numbers and correct positioning of graphics and callouts.
  9. Correcting
  10. Final proofreading and reviewing the entire document, including the graphics.
The first step in your project falls within the competences of the Task Manager who will discuss with you your needs and demands, evaluate the subject and then select a team of linguists most appropriate for the specific project. In addition to their linguistic experience and skills, our Task Managers are trained in human management and client services which maximises the accuracy and timeliness of work performance. He/she will monitor the project to its completion, ensuring the timetable and quality standards set with the client.
A minimum of two linguists are assigned to each project: one translator, and one native language editor.
In case of comprehensive project requiring the engagement of several translators, a glossary of technical terminology, abbreviations and acronyms as well as a style manual are prepared in the inception phase of the project and sent to the client for reviewing and approval. Once approved, all translators are required to use the same linguistic solutions, thereby harmonising their performance through the consistent use of terminology and writing style.

One of the features of our work is a regular utilisation of CAT (Computer Aided Translation) and TM (Translation Memory) tools to streamline the translation process and enhance consistency. This is critical when delivering large projects that are done by a team of translators, editors and technical advisors.

Oxford Translation is committed to deliver your translated documents in the same format and with correct positioning of graphics, callouts, technical diagrams, artwork, Internet banners, schematics and more as in the original. Our IT experts, responsible for Desktop Publishing, and our modern and up-to-date equipment will guarantee the translation to be the mirror image of the original. In addition to that, our typesetting capabilities allow us to deliver most any type of electronic file format and output in character or alphabet-based languages.

The final step in completing your project is the final proofreading and reviewing of entire document. That action combines efforts of all translators, editors and technical experts. We may confidently claim that our pool of associates comprises distinguished experts in all branches of government, industry, science, arts and other. Therefore, the engagement of technical experts in final reviewing will exclude any possibility of misapplication of misinterpretation of technical terminology which could lead to drawing the wrong conclusions, wasting hours of discussions or to entail even more grave consequence to your business or other communication.

Another vital element of our success is the confidentiality all our translators are committed to. By virtue of our contract with all the staff, the disclosure of any information pertaining to the engagement with our clients would entail legal consequences.
