The courses for children are organised on a half and a full
year basis. Enrolment
dates are in September and at the end of January. First semester spreads
over 16 weeks (four months) whereas the second one is 20 weeks (five
months) due to our intention to harmonise courses with the regular school.
Classes are held twice or trice a week, 90 or 120 minutes each,
depending on the pupils' age. Number of students in a
group is maximum 15 .
The course is based on communication and games, which develops interest
and love for language. In addition to that, through
assignment of small tasks to children, we endeavour to generate desire to
learn language and responsibility. The children classroom is specially
equipped for such manner of studying and EVERY child is given an
opportunity to present her/his works. That is how we make special links
between children and school. We occasionally organise field trips to
parks, visits to museums and other interesting places in our town and, once a month, the surprise
class.
The
course books published by Oxford University Press
for children which we use (Brainwaves, All Stars) are methodologically
exceptional and hold a top position among the books intended for child education. Naturally, being well equipped in technological respect,
enables us to prepare a number of diverse study material from other
sources, too. Upon completion of each course, the pupils take exam
and, if having passed it, obtain certificates accorded to the
scale of
the Council of Europe. The price of one semester (44 classes) is
180 KM .
